>When will I be notified about my child's registration status?
All families will be notified by email the week of February 5th. You will have 24 hours to accept your child's placement. If your child did not secure a placement he/she will be placed on a waitlist. Families accepting placement will need to visit the preschool to sign a registration agreement, pick-up the registration packet, pay the non-refunable registration fee, and provide the Director with a proof of identity for your child. This could include a certified copy of the child's birth certificate, birth registration card, notification of birth (hospital, physician, or midwife record), passport, or a copy of the placement agreement or other proof of the child's identity from a child placing agency (foster care and adoption agencies).
>Tuition Fees
Tuition is divided into 9 equal payments with September's tuition due on June 1st along with the registration packet. September's tuition is non-refundable. This payment serves to hold your child's placement for the 2024-2025 school year. The next payment is due September 1, 2024 and the remaining payments are due by the first of each month from October through April. You may pay by cash, check (made payable to Celebration Preschool), Zelle (sent to bshapbell@ashburnpresbyterian.org) or by automatic bank payment/check.

>Does my child need to be toilet trained?
We do allow our 2 1/2-year-olds and 3-year-olds to wear pull-ups. We just like everyone to know that we do not toilet train children. We will change your child if he/she has an accident. The expectation is that our 4-year-olds are toilet trained and self-sufficient in the bathroom unless there is a medical/developmental reason they are not. We will assist with zippers and buttons. This will need to be discussed with the Director.

Celebration Preschool has their own school calendar. Our first day of preschool for the 2024-2025 school year is Monday, September 9th and the last day of preschool is Friday, May 23, 2025. Like LCPS, we observe all federal holidays however we do not close for non-Christian holidays. We also do not close for LCPS teacher work and moveable holidays. Our Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring break are the same as LCPS. We do follow LCPS inclement weather policy. You will receive a copy of our school calendar in September. Please note that some dates are subject to change.
>Snack/Food Allergies/Food Restrictions/Inhalers
Parents will provide a snack for their child's class on a rotating basis. The "snack friend" will be noted on the monthly calendar. Celebration Preschool is a peanut/tree-nut free preschool. Guidelines and suggestions will be provided in September. If your child has any food restrictions please note that on your child's registration forms and communicate this information to your child's teacher. Teachers are trained in how to administer CPR, first-aid, EpiPens, and inhalers. The child's doctor will need to fill out the proper forms before we are allowed to administer an EpiPen or inhaler. You will need to see the Director for more information.
>Do you have a carline?
We do not have a carline. You have to enter the building to drop-off and pick-up. Because we look at your child's preschool experience as a parntership between parents and teachers, we feel it is important that you see the teachers on a daily basis. You are also able to see your child's artwork that is displayed on our bulletin boards and make friends with other parents.
>Safety
Your child's safety is of utmost importance to us! The outside entrance door and door leading in to the preschool area are secured a few minutes after drop-off and then are unsecured a few minutes before pick-up. The main church door is also locked. We conduct monthly fire drills and have a procedure in place for "stranger in the building." Our facility is inspected on a yearly basis by the Loudoun County Fire Marshall, Loudoun County Health Department, and the Department of Social Services. A statement of code compliance is on file with the Department of Licensing of the Commonwealth of Virginia and can be viewed on the bulletin board outside of the Director's office.
